[White, one of Nashville's "treasured left-of-center singer-songwriters," is a hard-touring, prolific woman cut from the same musical cloth of writers as Mary Gauthier, Kevin Gordon and Lori Mckenna.

White is touring the country behind her current release, "Motorcycle Dream," produced by Neilson Hubbard of Kim Richey fame. It's a sleeper of an album; the title track was recently cut by Australian rocker Anne McCue.

A recent song of White's was heard in the FX television show "Justified," bumping White's profile even higher. "Broke But Not Broken" was background in a bar room scene just after Dave Alvin played live. ]
